The Center for the Advancement of Health IT- Physician Office Workshop
Monday, November 14, 2011
1:00 p.m.

The Center for the Advancement of Health IT, our community Regional Extension Center, will host a physician office workshop on Monday, November 14, 2011 in partnership with Strategic Health Intelligence. A special discount will be offered to practices that wish to attend both events.

“Meaningful Use and EHR Incentives: What’s in it for me?”

With the deluge of noise in the market on various initiatives and government programs, every physician and their support staff wants to understand what’s really important today and how it will affect them tomorrow. The Center for Advancement of Health IT is partnering with the organizers of the Strategic Health Intelligence Summit to offer a ½ day education session to local physicians, nurses, and office management staff. This workshop will give participants what they need to understand about the various EHR incentive programs in the market today, what Meaningful Use really means to the practice and their daily engagement with patients, as well as what the future holds as these initiatives continue to evolve within the every changing healthcare landscape.

The Center for the Advancement of Health IT (AHIT) is one of 62 authorized Regional Extension Centers (REC) across the country funded through the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology under the HITECH act. The purpose of the REC program is to help educate primary care providers on various aspects of meeting “Meaningful Use” criteria and tapping into available financial incentive programs.
